Description

As you can see by my photos, this is an original 1964-1969 Oldsmobile 442 Center Console that has been semi-restored. This 4-Speed Console was completely disassembled with the front plate & glove box door being thoroughly cleaned and the old paint removed. They were then epoxy primed and then painted with the correct shade of semi-gloss black. The original GM Metal 4-Speed Top Plate & Glove Box Door both have shiny chrome that does show honest age and wear and has some scratches & pitting to the finish. The 4-speed boot opening is original and has not been cut or altered for an aftermarket shifter. The hinged glove box door opens, closes and latches correctly and still has its original lock, but I do not have the key. The plastic console box still has the original blue finish and has not been repainted, restored. However the rear section at the back of the console where it meets the carpet is broken away and missing. There is also a chip in the plastic on the drivers side bottom around the shifter hump.
